About this project
A name keychain built in three tiers, all cut from the same text outline, so the tag takes the shape of the name itself.
The three tiers
- Base — the text outline pushed out by Base border, extruded to Base height. This is the coloured body.
- Contour — the same outline pushed out by the smaller Contour border, sitting on top of the base. A keyline that reads as an outline around the letters.
- Letters — the letters themselves, extruded right through both tiers so they stand Letter height proud of the contour.
Because the letters run the full stack, the three height sliders add up: the Info panel shows the sum.
Text
One or two words, one typeface, one cap height. With two words, Word spacing is the distance between their baselines.
Keyring tab
A hulled tab at the left end with a through hole. Bore size is the hole diameter, and the tab scales with it.
Printing
Prints flat, letters up, no supports. Two filament changes — one at Base height, one at Base + Contour — give three colours from one print. Keep Base border well above Contour border so the base still reads as a border.
