About this project
A two-colour name keychain. The plate is the name's own outline pushed out by a thin border, with the letters standing proud on top in a second colour.
Text
One line, any font, any cap height. The plate follows whatever you type, so the tag changes shape with the name.
Plate
Border is how far the plate outline sits beyond the letters, and it is the only thing holding adjacent letters to each other — a script or a light face needs more of it than a heavy one. Plate height and Letter height stack, so the total thickness is their sum.
Keyring tab
The tab sits a fixed distance left of the centre of the name, so it does not move itself clear of a long name. Tab offset slides it to suit. Hole diameter and Tab wall size the loop.
Printing
Prints flat, letters up, no supports. Insert a filament change at Plate height and the lettering comes out in the second colour. Keep the plate at 0.8 mm or more and the border at 0.6 mm or more — the design check watches both, plus the tab wall.
