About this project
A keychain tag whose plate is the shape of the words themselves. The text outline is offset outwards to make the body, so the tag follows the letters instead of sitting in a rectangle.
How it is built
Three stacked bodies share one text path. Plate border offsets that outline outwards to form the silhouette plate. Outline bolden offsets it a second, smaller amount to give each letter a slightly fatter keyline. Letter height extrudes the letters themselves on top.
Letter height only shows above Outline height — below it the bolder keyline swallows the letters completely and the slider does nothing. The default now sits above it, so the letters read proud of their keyline.
Text
One or two lines sharing a typeface, a cap height and a line spacing multiplier.
Keyring lug
A hulled tab with a hole on the left end. Lug inset slides it into the plate (positive) or out on a stalk (negative).
Printing
Prints flat, letters up, no supports. Insert a filament change at the plate height and the lettering comes out in a second colour. Keep the plate at 0.8 mm or more and the border at 1 mm or more, or thin letters break away from each other.
