About this project
A round trivet with an organic Voronoi web inside a solid rim, plus a loop at the top so it can hang on a wall hook when not in use. Prints flat in one piece.
How it's built
- Web - a Voronoi panel in frame mode, trimmed to a disc. Its seed sites scale with the trivet, so every size keeps the same cell layout; wall width and corner rounding stay true in millimetres.
- Rim - a solid ring around the web.
- Loop - a disc filleted onto the top of the rim, with a hole that always clears the rim.
- Body - the outline is extruded to thickness with a small 45-degree chamfer top and bottom.
Parameters
| Group | Slider | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Size | Radius | 30-100 mm; the pattern scales with it |
| Size | Thickness, chamfer | Slab thickness and edge chamfer |
| Pattern | Rim, web width, cell rounding | Rim width, wall width between cells, how rounded the openings are |
| Hanging loop | On/off, loop radius, hole radius | Size the hole for your hook or nail |
Printing
Print flat on the bed. For hot pots, PETG or ASA hold up far better than PLA.
