About this project
A drawer organizer that adapts to your drawer, not the other way around. Set the outside dimensions and everything inside rebuilds to fit - walls, floor, dividers, rounding. Nothing here is modelled at a fixed size.
The box
Outside width, depth and height, plus wall and floor thickness. The interior is a single continuous cavity: the corner radius carries through from the outside, and the floor meets the walls in a fillet rather than a square corner, so small parts don't wedge into the seam and it wipes clean.
Dividers
Two independent arrays, one running each way, each with its own count and center offset, spaced evenly across whatever interior you have ended up with. Run one, both, or neither.
Divider style decides how the tops meet the rim:
- Flush - level with the rim, the usual divided tray
- Recessed - tops set below the rim, so a lid still sits flat
- Comb - tops rise above the rim as fins, for standing cards, tools or boards on edge
- Custom - drive the height yourself
The model follows that choice: convex rounding on the divider tops where they reach the wall height, a concave fillet into the walls where they stop short.
Corners and edges
One radius for the outer corners, then the top rim and the bottom edge rounded independently. Worth knowing why those are separate - a rounded bottom edge flares the first few millimeters of a print outward, right where you want the most bed contact. Keep the rim soft and take the bottom down to a light break, or to nothing at all.
While you dial it in
Live readouts show the clear interior, how many compartments you have and how big each one is. A design check sits alongside them and speaks up when a combination would pinch a wall to nothing or leave compartments too thin to use - it names the problem instead of just failing.
Every configuration solves to a single watertight solid, ready to export and print without a repair pass.
