About this project
A parametric snack bowl for pistachios and other snacks that leave shells or small scraps. A removable upper insert holds the snacks, while the outer bowl provides a collection space underneath. The optional raised center opening lets scraps drop into that lower space. The insert sits flush with the rim on an internal support ledge with a tapered underside.
Optional radial dividers create 2–8 compartments. The center riser can be straight or flared outward using the riserFlare parameter. The snap-on lid has four spaced retaining catches with 45° lead-in and release faces, plus an optional integrated plug to close the center opening.
Adjust the bowl diameter and height, wall thickness, insert depth, compartment count, center-hole diameter, riser flare, and fit clearances in the grouped parameter panel. Control points are limited to bowl diameter, bowl height, insert depth, and center-hole diameter. The main parts and optional features can be enabled separately.
The model uses a teal bowl, cream insert, and transparent lid material for visualization. These visual materials do not specify the printed material. CAD checks verified watertight parts and assembled clearance at the configurations tested. This design has not been physically print-tested; check the sliced parts and test the snap and plug fits with your printer and material before printing the complete set.
