About this project
Three planter designs in one project, each with a matching saucer: Reed (rounded vertical ribs), Swirl (deep twisted flutes) and Facet (a clean polygon vessel). Pick a style, set the size, and the drainage and saucer follow.
How it's built
- Planter - a switch picks the exterior: a rounded star profile extruded straight (Reed) or with a twist (Swirl), or a polygon (Facet), each flaring from base to top. A round tapered cavity is cut inside, so the wall never drops below its minimum however deep the pattern.
- Drainage - seven vertical through-holes, a centre hole plus a ring of six. On by default for Reed and Swirl; off for Facet as a decorative container.
- Saucer - sized to the planter at the saucer's rim height plus clearance, with three pads that lift the pot so the drain holes stay open.
Parameters
| Group | Control | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Collection | Design style | Reed / Swirl / Facet |
| Collection | Print part | Assembled pair, planter only, or saucer only for export |
| Size | Height, top and bottom diameter | 50-160 mm tall; 65-170 mm top and 55-150 mm base, across tips or corners |
| Structure | Wall, floor | Minimum wall and base thickness |
| Drainage | Drainage on, hole diameter | Seven 3-8 mm holes |
| Reed | Rib count, depth | 12-40 ribs, 1.5-5 mm deep |
| Swirl | Flute count, depth, twist | 8-20 flutes, 3-7 mm deep, 0-75° twist |
| Facet | Facet count | 6-16 sides |
| Saucer | Clearance, wall, floor, rim height, drainage lift | Fit around the pot, saucer walls, and how high the pads raise the planter |
Only the controls for the chosen style are shown. The flare is limited to 0.35 mm per mm of height, and the saucer rim always sits above the pot's base.
Printing
Use Print part to export the planter and saucer separately, and print both upright. Not rated watertight.
