About this project
A long shelf or bin label: a rounded plate with raised lettering, a Voronoi cell pattern across the face, and a hang ring on one end.
The plate
Length, height, thickness and corner radius are all live. The default 188 x 30 x 4 mm suits a standard storage-bin front.
Text
Type the label, pick any font from the library, and set the cap height. The letters are cut to the full plate thickness, so their faces sit flush with the original plate top — one Pattern depth above the Voronoi cells and the full recess above the floor between them. For a two-colour print, put the filament change at the cell height and the lettering comes out in the second colour on its own.
Voronoi face
The face carries a fixed ten-cell Voronoi pattern. Pattern gap sets the groove width between cells and Pattern depth sets how far the face is cut below the plate top. The cell centres are stored in absolute millimetres and do not rescale, so stretching the plate far past 188 x 30 mm leaves the pattern unevenly distributed.
Hang ring
The ring sits at the left end. ring_radius is what it sounds like — the ring comes out twice that across. One thing to watch: tag_border does double duty as the ring's hole radius and as the inset of the pattern panel from the plate edge, so changing it moves both.
Printing
Prints flat on the back face with no supports. Keep at least 1.2 mm of wall around the hang hole. The design check watches that, the text height and the pattern depth.
