About this project
A three-cup desk organizer with stepped heights - tall for pens, middle for markers and scissors, short for clips and odds and ends. Each cup has soft vertical flutes outside and a smooth round bore inside, and all three stand on one shared rounded base.
How it's built
- Cups - each cup is a fluted equation-curve profile extruded to its own height, with a smooth cylinder cut out above the floor. Flutes only add material outward, so the wall is measured at the flute valleys.
- Spacing - cup centres follow the diameter and flute depth, keeping a 2 mm gap between neighbouring cups at any size.
- Base - a rounded plinth under all three cups ties them into one part.
Parameters
| Group | Control | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Size | Cup diameter | 40-65 mm, outside at the flute valleys |
| Size | Tall / middle / short height | Each cup's height on its own slider |
| Construction | Wall, floor | Minimum wall at the flute valleys; shared base and floor thickness |
| Flutes | Depth, count | 0-2.5 mm outward flutes (0 gives plain cups); 10-28 flutes per cup |
| Resolution | Mesh quality | Draft / Standard / Fine |
Printing
Print upright on the base. The walls are vertical, so no supports are needed.
